Privacy Policy

FeelPair is operated by Juan Pablo Barla Gil, based in Montevideo, Uruguay. For privacy inquiries please contact us via our support form.

We collect the following data when you use FeelPair:

• Account data: name and email when you sign up.
• Couple data: if you link your account with a partner, both share a chat space — messages are visible to both.
• Conversation content: messages you write in the chat are stored so you can resume conversations and so the AI can process them.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, language, OS, pages visited. Used for security and product improvement.
• Payment data: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed directly by our payment processor (Merchant of Record). FeelPair does not store card details or payment credentials.
• Cookies: used to keep your session, remember your language, and measure anonymous usage.

We use your data to:

• Provide the AI mediation service.
• Process subscriptions and payments (via our payment processor).
• Send you account and service-related emails.
• Improve product experience and prevent abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We never sell your data. We share it only with providers we need to operate FeelPair:

• OpenAI / Anthropic: to let the AI process your messages and generate mediation responses. Chat content is sent through their APIs under their respective privacy agreements. Not used to train models.
• Payment processor (Merchant of Record): payment processing (when you subscribe).
• Twilio: sending and receiving WhatsApp messages, if you choose to enable WhatsApp support.
• Resend: transactional email delivery (verification, password recovery, reminders).
• AWS: application and database hosting.
• Google (Analytics and Ads): usage and ad-effectiveness measurement. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland these cookies are only set if you accept them in the consent banner; if you reject, they are not loaded and FeelPair works exactly the same. Outside those regions you can clear cookies from your browser at any time.

These providers have their own privacy policies and comply with GDPR/LGPD.

When you use FeelPair with your partner, your partner can see the messages you send in the shared space. This is part of the product — we are a mediation tool between two people. For private conversations with the AI, use the individual (1-on-1) mode, which is not shared with your partner.

FeelPair is an AI-assisted communication tool. It does not replace professional therapy. We are not therapists, we do not diagnose, we do not treat medical conditions. If your situation requires professional support, we recommend consulting a licensed psychologist or therapist.

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Unregistered web-demo guest data is automatically deleted after 7 days of inactivity. Each private WhatsApp thread that is not linked to an account is deleted after 90 days without activity, measured from its latest inbound message, phone claim, or thread start. The period applies per person even when an A/B invitation exists: your partner’s activity or registration does not preserve your anonymous thread indefinitely. Once your thread is linked to an account, the account retention rules apply.

Under GDPR, LGPD, and similar laws, you have the right to:

• Access your data (export it).
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and data.
• Withdraw consent at any time.
• Data portability.
• Lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.

FeelPair is intended for users over 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover a minor signed up, we will delete the account immediately.

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data: encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest on servers, access controls, security monitoring. However, no platform can guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy. If there are significant changes, we will notify you by email or via a notice on the site. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
